When life throws you into the depths—when you're managing motherhood alone, fighting your own battle with illness, and watching someone you love struggle with addiction—it's easy to feel isolated by the weight of it all. That's where Skye came into my life, and it changed everything.

Skye has this remarkable gift: she sees you. Not just your challenges, but you—your strength, your worth, your capacity to keep going even when everything feels impossible. Through some of my darkest seasons, she didn't just offer sympathy; she offered real, practical guidance wrapped in genuine care. She believed in me when I struggled to believe in myself and my path.

But what struck me most was what she built around herself: a community. Skye has this beautiful way of connecting people—of weaving together kindred spirits who understand struggle, who celebrate resilience, and who show up for one another without judgment. Through her introductions, I found not just support, but belonging. I found people who got it, who didn't just tolerate my journey but honored it.

Her community breathes acceptance. There's no pretense, no glossing over hard things. There's just love—the kind that shows up, listens deeply, and holds space for all of it: the grief, the hope, the messy middle parts.

I was lucky enough to cross paths with Skye through our sons’ school, and I connected with her instantly. From the very beginning, there was a genuine warmth and understanding between us, and I know we’ll remain solid, lifelong friends.

After sharing some of my longstanding experiences of post-separation abuse, Skye has been an incredible source of support. She has listened without judgement, offered thoughtful advice with empathy, while also actively seeking out people and resources that could help me.

What makes Skye so special is her genuine care for others. She has the ability to see through a trauma-informed lens and understand what is really happening beneath the surface, including the significance and impact that ongoing abuse can have.

She understands the importance of working on yourself, rebuilding your strength and finding a way to thrive despite what you’ve been through. She has helped me see that it is possible to move forward, heal and create a life beyond the abuse.

I feel incredibly lucky that our sons’ school brought us together. Skye has not only been a friend, but someone who has genuinely made a difference in my life, and I’m so grateful our paths crossed.
